Why would an artist who works for Autocar have any say in the design of any Mitsubishi vehicle?

thats the Colt Evo. Evo is going to be the name for the sport models just like M-series BMW's or Type R for Honda. Also the next WRC from Mitsu will be based on the Colt.

No, Mitsubishi have already stated that the costs of switching to the Colt platform for WRC would be too high. ****, they've only just come back with the brand new Lancer WRC car.

HHHMMMM I need more views to accuratly judge the looks on this but I could see this maybe just a little bit shorter in height. Seems to tall. I do think they would be more competitive in the WRC with this hatch back design.

I think the quote you are speaking of was pertaining directly to why Mitsu didn't switch to the Colt platform for the 2004 season....not why they don't plan to ever switch to the new, smaller platform. The reality in WRC these days is that the smaller lighter cars have the advantage. To be competitive, the small car is the thing to have. Mitsu wants to be competitive....they just don't have the resources to do it ALL now. At least thats my opinion.

"Lancer Evo IX, X and XI are already planned: IX is a modest evolution from today’s Evo VIII, while the next X and XI are more radical cars that could be sold as coupés, rather than traditional saloons. ‘Why not? The FTO and GTO were great cars, but it is important that the Evo spirit stays as it evolves,’ said Boulay."

that was taken from the autocaronline article. i'm excited about some sort of EVO coupe

yeh an evo coupe does sound cool, but the term 'radical' is leaning towards repelling hybridness. i dont like that design....more pics might help though

That is the evo colt not the evo lancer and i would seriouly doubt that we get it here in the states, but if we did somthing that small with that much power would be sick and it would allow for people who want a car with these stats to be able to afford one.
Just my two cents

That car has been around for over 2 years. It's called the CZ-3 Tarmac. It has the EVO drivetrain, and that's it. The inside looks like a spce ship. It's a concept car, and has been for a long time. It will probally stay that way.
