Post 90 GSX, Tranny Question.

Hey guys, I looked at and test drove a 1990 GSX Eclipse today. It was in great shape. And it pulled hard in every gear. The turbo worked great. But as we all know the trannies in those cars are junk. I could tell the 2nd and 3rd gear sync's were screwd up. But the car comes with a warranty. So is it worth it to buy it and then just get that fixed or is it junk. I only have to pay 100 dollar deductable on repairs. So tell me what u think i should do.thanks.

Any other info? The 1G was known to have potential problems with the rear transfer case (oil leak). Make sure you address that to the seller

Its all how you maintenance the car. Although, mitsu didn't mean for it to be extensive care to prevent lower end crank play(CrankWalk) i dont think its such a huge problem if you dont mind maintenancing a car.
