JZX110 Mark II - new daily driver
Saw this with a ridiculously cheap sticker price and snatched it up. It's also a fairly limited edition model: 2003 Mark II iR-V Fortuna Yamaha Power. The body kit, wheels, and exhaust are all stock. It's an automatic and coming from the lighter Evo IV and JZX100 Chaser it feels sluggish and heavy to me. Still, it's in good condition, it cruises at high speeds comfortably, it's an indestructible Toyota, and I can use it to commute around the island while I go crazy fixing my Chaser. Not a bad way to spend $3,000 ($900 of which was the car inspection....damn you Japan
) I still don't understand why Toyota never imported the JZX90/100/110 family to the States....

Manual ones are harder to find and there's almost no way I'd have gotten a manual for <$7000.

Definitely not the same.
1. Never came from the factory with a turbocharged straight six, only NA.
2. Shorter wheelbase makes the cars look stocky instead of low-slung and sleek compared to a JZX.
3. Lexus re-badge fail (it's a Toyota here in Japan).
Here's my Chaser, back when it had a far-too-low aftermarket body kit:
