Queensland Raceway video
I have just got back from the saturday afternoon sprints at Queensland Raceway and I thought I would share the in car video from my best lap for anyone who wants to know what Queensland Raceway is like.
Use right click, save asQLD Raceway movie WMV 7mb
QLD Raceway movie MPEG-4 7mb and MPEG-1 13mb (apparently there are some issues playing the MPEG-4 version AND the MPEG-1 so try the WMV

Sorry for the rear view mirror in the way, this is the first time I have used the incar camera and it needs some modifications.
I am driving the clubman circuit (full track details at QLD Raceway site ) that cuts across the middle, missing most of the back straight.
For anyone that is interested my lap time was 1:06:78, not fast but not too bad considering I only have about 110kw/147hp but I know I still have a lot of work to do on my driving. My father did a 1:06:07. The car is a BMW E30 323i with headers, exhaust, 4.1 LSD, King springs, Koni adjustable shock absorbers, front strut brace, and 205/55/15 Yokohama AVS ES100 tyres. It also has a Sparco Pro2000 drivers seat and 6 point harness. It got to almost 150km/h at the end of the 650m main straight (from about 80km/h onto the straight), not so fast.
This car handles very well, I easily kept up with an E36 M3 through the corners but he left me down the straights. Also my father managed to catch and pass a 300kw HSV GTS, although that could have been the drivers.
I should be able to get some incar video of the autocross track at the same motorsport complex (Willowbank) next week if anyone is interested in that track.

No one is interested? I might take the video down then, if I do I will edit my original post and remove the link.
Maybe I should have put this in the motorsport forum, although that seems to be only for motorsport involving lancers? Maybe the Australian forum?
