Hey friend of mine is lookin at a 00' BMW 540i can i get the lowdown on them from anyone here? they quick? i herd they r like same rate'ings at the S4 but more torque and not AWD.

go with the 540, if snow is a problem, put on 4 snows. the car is heavy and goes very well in the snow, plus it is nimble and can keep you out of trouble where as a suv is clumsy. get the six speed, much more fun then the auto. i would stay away from the audis. the reliability isn't quite there yet.

it all depends on what you want. for the price, the evo is hard to beat. the bmw is impressive, especially the M5. if i had to choose.......... hmmm dunno. if it were an M5, i would take that in a heart beat

my dad works for a bmw, porsche, audi dealer. If I bought a bmw he said he would disown me lol.

 

I highly doubt that the average BMW is any worse than your average Mitsubishi...

 

Make sure it's the 6 speed sport package. That thing has gobs of torque. Beautiful car. A buddy of mine had it and it's a little quicker than the S4.

Yeah, there's no doubt that the M5 is a great piece of automotive engineering.

My sister has one, and I've driven it a few times... all I have to say is it has the smoothest power delivery of any car that I've ever driven.
