2017 Ford Fiesta RS (rumor mill)

Now that the Focus RS has been announced, is a Fiesta RS next?

Well... That didn't take long:

Nothing verified, pure speculation, but all makes sense and fits within Ford's stated goals.

If they make a Fiesta RS, I will buy one, get some m-sport fenders, and pretend I am in a rally every day I drive to work

I hope it looks like that from the factory. Roof scoop and all!

Can't imagine it being either AWD or 270 HP. FWD, 250 HP, < 2700 lbs... seems possible.

if ford is planning on making news like they did with the focus then this will be awd. Maybe a little less than 270hp but it wouldnt be too hard to keep the weight down especially if they offer a model with no extras at all which i dont see why they wouldnt.

This article seems to think AWD, 250 HP, $27k.

Car & Driver seems to think 215-230 HP, FWD, $25k.

That's a shame would've been one heck of a small car.
