My girlfriend is trying to decide which car to buy either the Mazda RX-8 or the Acura RSX. She does not know how to drive a stick so that is not an issue. Any suggestions would help.

 

type s rsx or what? id take the type s over an rx8, they are sadly underpowered for the price.

I would say the RX8 if she was going to get a manual. Actually, she should consider the G35 Coupe. Decent power, decently looks and nice interior.

 

RSX type S > RX8 > RSX

If she's getting an auto, I'd have to agree with jansolo, check out the G35 (or 350Z touring).

 

i would definately, without a doubt get the RX-8. If she can afford it...it's a beautiful car, very unique and when dropped with some rims, it looks like a bad *** car. the interior is awesome and a hot girl would look extremely hot while driving the mazda.

i wouldn't even consider comparing it to an RSX. the RSX (type S or not) is boring, not very good looking, not to mention, every 17 year old in my area has one.

 

RX8 man...It has more potential than the RSX-S. Dont underestimate that rotory, after all, it's a better version of the previous one used in the RX7. I can't wait until Mazda decided to release the turbo model, now that would be one fast, good looking car. Plus, the RX8 looks alot better than the RSX hand down. Get some 18s or 19s and add on a body kits and that car look sick!!!

 

She is not looking at the Acura RSX type S. She is hot enough already but either car would maker her hotter. She doesn't want to mod it either (so basically leaves me out of this project). We are going to go look this weekend. So we will see. She is just finding out the facts, she is getting a promotion at work so she wants to wait till that kicks in. My sugar momma.....

 

i think that we'll all need a picture to understand how hot she really is.

Id take a 350z over both, if not the RX-8. Females care about looks any wayz! not performance.

I would probably take the RSX Type-S because of the quality and price. RX-8 is more expensive and if I had to pay so much more I'd be looking at G35 or 350Z or something like that.

 

i would say rsx type-s if you want more performance(it think it's faster than the mazda, someone correct me if i'm wrong), but I must admit the RX-8 has a really awesome design

yes i know rx-8 looks nicer than rsx IMO and everything but i'd rather trust Acura (or Honda) when it comes to reliability...besides, rx-8 has BAD mpg (or so i heard from www.rx8forum.com) and it's rather small

i've been in a friend's rsx and i just LOVE the interior...it's so sporty and looks nice (compared to sad evo's interior)..besides, type s is 6-speed (well so is rx-8...nm...too bad evo aint)...'

my friend abuses the livin **** otta the car (burn outs, fish tails, etc) but it still goes strong so yeah, i have faith in acura
