How much is the asking price? Banks won't approve loans that are a certain percentage above book value.

Loan

Gonna offer about 12k...I am getting a line of credit not a conventional car loan... Basically if the loan goes through and the car is still available I will buy it. Otherwise i will be in the market for a Gen 2 Eclipse, T or X...

Nice car, I miss my GS-T, but my suggestion is to get a GS-X, traction is redicolous with a GS-T I use to spin them in 3rd doing 80MPH, It wasn't stock.

I now have an AWD Talon and the handling is amazing compared to a GS-T, just a suggestion but after owning an AWD I can't go back to FWD. Good luck finding one, you can try www.dsmtrader.com

I am kind of leaning that way (I think the GST may sell before I can jump on it) but nervous about tranny expenses with AWD... how much to replace clutch on AWD Gen 2?

$350 you can get an ACT 2600lb clutch that will take as much power as you can throw at it. I also suggest gettin a 98 99 model, less crankwalk issues in those years.
