on subject though, I bet he'd improve a decent bit if he got rid of those boat anchor wheels... since when do people not care about wheel weight on hill climb cars?

 

If you say on youtube and watch the next video that loads (maybe only on my machine - lots of algorithms) you view the first place effort. There's an amazing difference.

 

This guy with a racing team comprised of his friends went to a Subaru hill climb event and won 2nd place 23-year-old old Evo. That blows my mind.

Yea we could say any number of negative things about the dude and his Evo but he still won 2nd place battling against a seasoned legend on a dangerous course. Given the amount of experience he had with the car and the issues he encountered racing that event this is literally watching someone thread the needle on the first try. Inspiring!
