Flex fuel friendly filter setup

Best fuel filters for E85/flex fuel: So I’ve been running “an extra” 100 micron Radium inline filter post pump by the tank and a 10 micron just before the fuel rail. Main reason being the pre pump sock filters always seem to deteriorate/not filter that great. With the post pump 100micron filter service intervals for replacing the 10 micron filter are easily twice as long, the 100micron stainless element is easily cleaned so no extra service cost on that side.
If your car sees a lot of pump fuels (gas or ethanol) and your injectors don’t love it consider the filtering situation.

Note: the least amount of wrenching/buying filters possible with maximum “hassle free” seat time is always my long term goal for a personal project.

That’s actually a solid setup for E85/flex fuel. Ethanol tends to loosen debris in the system, so having a coarse filter after the https://crownplay-au.net/ pump and a finer one before the rail makes sense. A 100 micron like Radium Engineering post-pump helps catch the bigger stuff and saves your 10 micron from clogging too fast. The stainless cleanable element is a big plus too. As long as you keep up with maintenance and check for pressure drop, that combo is a smart way to protect injectors, especially on mixed fuel setups.

yep that is def my mind set, keep injectors and pumps as clean and happy as possible to save $$$ and headache long term. Nothing worse than down time and wrenching on something you weren't expecting to have to work on ahah.
