New 300
i think its mad pimp!
I'm so glad mercedes jumped in and kicked the chrysler designers asses for making such crap ugly cars...now all mercedes needs to do is help Mitsu a bit as well
wishfull thinking haha but it would be so great...its funny too since Mitsu's lead designer in japan is the same designer that used to run mercedes design team a few years back.
anyway i think the revision of the 300 is bad ***...its basically a low budget Bentley but its quality is still up there since these new top end Chryslers are practically mercedes built/designed!
I currently own the top end Chrysler Pacifica and its an amazing car! my father owns an S500 AMG and the controls inside are very much the same as the pacifica! the handling on the pacifica and ride is just soooo smooth and i actually feel comfortable doing a little bit of mild off roading with it as i took it to Northern Cali to Mammoth Mountains then to the Redlands to do some trout/salmon fishing and camping this past winter... just this Easter i went ahead with the family to san luis obispo and did some crab catching... all in all what im trying to say is that these cars are practical and are built with mercedes quality! best bang for the buck luxury vehicles and with the pacifica you actually dont care to get the car dirty its 280+ hp v6, awd and plastic dent resistant panels are more than enough to let me know its ok to get a little rough.

The hemispherical combustion chamber was a big deal in the 60s. Today, it's nothing special. GM gets 400 hp out a same-sized engine with a domed chamber. So, yeah, best in class, but it's mostly marketing. They could have just as easily made a domed chamber and gotten more power, but not had the "It's got a Hemi" tag line.
Also, while the 300C is the most powerful, it is also the heaviest and far and away has the worst mileage.
This is truly a GREAT car. I have driven one several times and was extremely impressed. This was a possible choice for me along side the STi and the EVO. The compromise being more luxury than performance. Obviously I couldn't make the sacrifice...
It is a heavy car but it DOESN'T drive like one. The Mercedes transmision was smooth and responsive. I know two people who own the Hemi version and one is getting 28 MPG on the highway and the other gets 30 MPG on the highway. Four cylinders shutting down when cruising really tends to help on the fuel consumption.

I've driven an Evo and 300C and both are completely different and fantastic. The 300 is 4100 pounds but handles pretty impressively for its size. The torque can cause issues... I got the thing over 100mph in a 45mph zone without realizing it - btw the brakes work well. Car&Driver ran a 13.9 quarter in one. Go to this dude's page and watch the first video

I'm about to buy and believe it or not I was torn between these two cars, but tracking a 300C may get some odd looks. Both have 4 doors, a trunk, and comfy seats. But only one has an intercooler sprayer...

My friend drove one, and he spoke so highly of it...he said that you don't realize how fast you are going, its SO comfortable and that it's so quiet. His dad's gonna buy one
The guys at the shop have had a few too!

My dad bought one and i test drove it when he went to buy it. Transmission shifts seamlesly and when you punch it, it goes like hell. It handled damn good for its size. I think its good chrysler is starting to go back to RWD and getting rid of the cab-foward design. Hemi sounds sweet too, gives a nice growl on acceleration and decel.
hehe i just watched Road&Tracks test drive of the car and they took two of them to Thunder Hill raceway in Norther Cali and they gave it excellent marks. Then at the end they turned off the ESP [extra sensory something] and the freakin cars were drifting the corner like it was nothing! hahahaha it was dope! big *** heavy luxury sedans drifting corners at high speeds hehehe

wow, just watched those vids....that one of the guys doing a drifting burnout was insane!!! That exhaust note was sweet as hell too. Man, if they offered it in a manual I might rock one of those.......
