Post 2005 Nissan Altima SE-R

I was just browsing the Nissan site to see what info they had on the 2005 SE-R. All I found was a small flash demo, with their future vehicle line-up.

http://www.nissanusa.com/content/0,,...Models,00.html

Here's what kinda stuck out:
1. 250+ Horsepower!
2. 18" Forged Rims
3. 6 Speed Manual

WHOA! I wonder what the tag on this one is going to be. Anybody else think they are aiming right at the SRT-4 with this one? Can't wait to see some real specs on this beast!

Why oh WHY did they go with those HIDEOUS altezzas?! I thought they had learned their lesson and wised up like on the 04 Maxima.

I dont think so, the Neon is in a much smaller class of car than the Altima. It does say Altima on that car, doesn't it?

i think the neon and altima are in the same price range, starting at around 14 or so for the base, and up to around 20 for the se-r and srt-4. though with those specs on the se-r, i'd like to see them try to keep it under 20. more like 23-24 is my guess.

Yeah, it is an Altima.

As a former Se-R owner, I don't really like them using the name on the Altima, but I guess they already ruined the name with the newest Se-R anyway.

You are confusing the Altima with the Sentra. Altima Se are around $25,000 and up.

haha even the rims resemble the srt-4 ones! definitely an obvious competitor to the dodge car, unless they handicapp it with a ginormous price tag :-P

Test drove the Altima v-6. Even though it has 250 hp, power..........well you just can't feel it like other cars. I think due to the fact it is more a luxury than performance car.
