Exclamation Seriously in the hunt for a WRX... (UPDATE!!!)

yes, now im getting serious for a used wrx in the cali area. The lowest ive came across was 17,400 for a used silver wrx with 37k miles. Does anybody know a dealer that has one for lower (used) and with under 50k miles? I love my lancer, but if i can get the wrx with a factory turbo, than ill do it than turboing my lancer. Almost had a deal with mitsu for and evo, but they dont wanna budge or go lower than 25.5k (grrrrrrr). So help me out yall, if not ill keep my lancer for another year and trade it in for and evo, but id really like a wrx if the price is RIGHT!

Thanks.

Update, if anyones cares:

I had been set on a o2 Black WRX Sedan for 17.5... the girl i was talkin too wanted me to come down and test drive it, so i called to schedule an appt, but she wasnt in, so i left a message saying ill be there next week. She called me back the next day and told me it was sold, sucks. Thou Im again waiting on another local dealership to call me back. They have a 02 silver wrx sedan for 16.9 , so hopefully thats goes well. If not, ill try one more dealer... and if that doesnt go well, ill jus goahead and turbo my lancer.

I really would like and evo, but im moving this fall to santa barbara and i just wont be able to go to school and work to pay off my evo, so i have to get something else cheaper, but quick, hints the reason why i want a wrx or turbo my lancer.

I loved my WRX Wagon. It was a great car and very trouble-free. Let us know what you find.

I didn't know so many people were looking for a used WRX. I just traded mine in for my EVO. It's going to be a sweet deal for someone. I had the Buschur Racing axelback installed and it had a sweet, deep rumble. It also had a new clutch and new gears installed under the factory warranty one day before I traded it.

The WRX is a lot of fun... but the EVO has been even MORE FUN!

In Canada, we don't get the EVO
But we get the WRX I'm also possibly looking into a used WRX, but those are expensive still.

be really careful with used wrx's, to many people think it has sti-like transmision/linkage etc and drop them at 5000 rpm, bad very bad for the new owner who goes a couple of thousand miles and then is stuck... just a warning i heard some guys that own subbies say

yeah, heard about that. you can't drop the clutch on the tranny like a FWD or RWD cuz in a FWD or RWD car, the tranny usually transmits all that energy into the tires.

Whereas, in an AWD car, it transmits into the drivetrain.
