I got permission before linking this, guys. The CRX driver is the Evo driver's son. This is in Castle Combe race circuit in the UK. Pretty freaking' nuts! There's also a vid of the 900HP RC Development Evo VI among Skylines.

well I watched the vid which was pretty cool. I wonder what all was done to that CRX? And also, why did the CRX just spin around there towards the end?

no engine modifications just a D16A9 non VTec rated at 130 fhp it has coilovers, yoko A032R tires, Ferodo DS2000 brake pads, Nylon bushes, Stripped interior and a stainless exhaust.....
but it has an exeptional driver behind the wheel
the spin at the end was an avoiding move due to an in-experienced driver stopping on the exit racing line of the fastest bend on the circuit...

Nothing unusual there. The CRX had a better driver. Watching from the Evo you could see it catch up on the straights but it braked earlier and didn't hold as good of a line as the CRX.
Don't know...the EVo driver seems way relaxed and the engine is just not so frenetic. It almost sounds and looks like the EVO driver is not even worried or cares. As for the CRX car, it sounds like it is going all out. Don't know if this is a fair comparison.

I've seen an MR2 (3rd gen? Current one) lay waste to Z06s and 911 Turbos. A good driver that can wring 100% out of a car will beat "faster" cars driven at 80% all the time.

its all driver.. You can tell just by looking either the EVO driver was just lazy or wasn't trying. His lines were lazy, and his exits speeds looked like he wasn't trying. When I raced lazy once, a rsx and gti ran faster then me. But they went all out to the point of losing traction while I was just coasting in 4th and 5th.
