Hey ok, so ive had this 93 gmc jimmy for a long time, but for some reason, the egr valve keeps getting plugged with carbon. Its a big problem bc sometimes it can die without warning.

So....

Is there anything i can do to make it stay cleaner for longer. To prevent the carbon from blocking? I know this isnt a normal car question on here, but any help would be appreciated
