Smile Porsche GT3

So after owning a 1984 911 carerra for 15 years, my dad finally decided to take a leap into the 21st century and swap it for a 2004 GT3! He really deserves it with all his hard work. Here is a shot of it lined up to my Evo. Think I could take him? I got a ride in it and i was grinning from ear to ear. I can't wait till I get the go to take it for a spin.

Later,
EvoMike

Wow that's nice. It's a good thing your dad stuck with the cast iron rotors. I've heard horror stories about the ceramic ones falling apart and not having any noticeable difference on the track compared to the regular rotors.

Yeah and plus when the ceramic ones brake, it costs an arm and a leg for new ones. On another note...i thought the calipers on my car were big....the ones on his car are just rediculous! The front 6 piston calipers almost go from the top of the rotor to the bottom. The reat calipers are almost the same size as my calipers. That thing is just insane.

Nice cars! You need to be heavily modded on the EVO to stand a chance. I drove one of my buddy's GT3 and man owesome!!! NO turbo lag and you can dump it without worrying about transmission or clutch problem.

I thought GT3 was Naturally Aspirated so there should be NO lag. I've been in a 911 Turbo and u can feel the lag in those at the track.

Considering the lack of a turbo on the GT3, I would hope not.

Two words:

Adopt me

It's not too late! I'm sick of supporting my parents (yes, you read that right...), and its really denting my downpayment for the MR. Fortunately pops may have found a job soon and they'll move out of my place...

Congrats and all on your dad being able to afford a car that 99% of us here will never come close to, but does this news honestly warrant the use of two threads???

Nice , I came across this post....

The other day I had a 911 come up on me off the interstate off ramp,, I was like nice,,,, then seen the rear wing and badge,,, oooo GT3.... I hope he goes in my direction,, ya he did.

He was about 2-3 cars in front of me, I pull around to the other lane and we gun it. He neither pulled , nor I gained any ground. This was upto about 70mph or so. But it was hot outside, like 98. I turned my air off, he had his windows up and more than lieky the air was on.

So let us know your driving impressions of this car , cpmpaired to your evo. Mine is modded.
turbo back, mbc to 19, dynoflash, hks rs,,, walbro 255, kartboy SS, ect.......

Love the color!! : )
