Ever since I first saw this car, 7-8 some odd years ago, I fell in love. When the car reached our shores, I fell even harder. I became obsessed, I eventually started fantasizing about this car during masturbation.. I realized I had a problem, so I sought out this forum in order to alleviate some of my obsessive behavior.. My '05 evo should be arriving in Sept/Oct.

I came to here because I know alot of the Midwest Lancer folks, and to aquire parts for my Galant. I had OZ wheels on it, and I have OZ seats in it.

So I kinda belong :P

 

Just into imports in general. It was kind of a fluke accident i found this site looking up things on the "upcoming" 03 Evo. Been here ever since, and now i'm addicted to OT. Woohoo, postwhoring!

I wanted to get EVO info when I was shopping for a car last year. Still considering an MR for my next purchase. These days I mainly come for off-topic. Once I'm in the buying frenzy again though I'll be reading up on the car-specific topics again in earnest I'm sure.

 

the board started out as a post whoring place for subaru owners since neither the lancer or evo was out yet and that's all there was to do here

 

i thought about that too how people come here that dont drive a lancer. i would have never found this place if my friend didnt show me it.

The reason why I enjoy this site and come to it, is for the pure love I have for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. I've been a huge fan of the EVO ever since it was first introduced. I prayed and begged for Mitsubishi to bring this car over and when they finally did, I planned on selling my VR4 for one, but wrecked the VR4 and some other money problems, which kept me from buying one. Hopefully one day I will accomplish my dream and own a EVO.

 

I've owned a 90 Laser Turbo FWD, 92 Laser Turbo FWD, 92 Laser Turbo AWD, and an 02 WRX. I like the sport compacts. I really wanted an EVO and was thinking about buying one this year until I decided that I wouldn't park it outside and I would like to be a weekend car. So I sold the WRX and bought a house. Then I went and got a Civic. It's slow and not very fun but I like getting 40 mpg on the highway. I'll still look into getting an EVO one day but ensuring my future financially is more important to me. Besides, by the time I start to seriously look at EVO's a lot of you guys will be trading them in for something else (Skyline perhaps). Or maybe I'll win a WSOP tourny and get a GT3...

i joined to learn about the Evo, FI, and to see if its a community that i want to join. Ive been jaded by the amazing community and webiste of clubRSX.com. Its hard to find sites that compare. EvoM is pretty close! Also, im looking into a new car in the spring so im doing research. I also post on my350z.com, and S2ki.com (looking for a good S4 forum too).
