Noob Question.....
ok when it comes to turbos im a noob ill admit. all i wonna know is how do you adjust your psi on a turbo??? through the wastegate??? and how do you measure howmuch psi you have???
The car has a wastegate solenoid located under your airfilter box. 2 vacuum lines, one in, one out. It communicates with the ECU and the wastegate and opens and closes the wastegate based on how much pressure is coming to it from the vacuum lines and what the ecu tells it to do.
You can alter boost with mechanical valve like a Hallman, or you can go really cheap and buy a refrigerator valve at the hardware store or a fish tank valve at the pet store. Might want to get a boost gage at this point, unless you are a thrill seeker.......
You can get an electronic boost controller like the HKS EVC (electronic Valve Controller) or the the Blitz, etc..., there are a ton out there.
Or you can use get a flash, which I think can hold boost earlier and longer, but not necessarily higher (not sure about this peak boost).
Or you can get an interceptor computer like an xede, Utec, or some other stand alone.
These are the only ways I know besides pulling the wastegate vacume tube and going for it until your knock sensor kicks in, hopefully before your motor rings it's final bell.
