That's right...I wish I could see what the hell they do...probably some weird baffling system?

Indeed. Their baffling is baffling. I wish I could see the underside though. Neat little punk of a car.

Funny how Dodge is baffling the neon but when it comes to the new Viper, it's letting all 8.3 liters come out in raw power out of the exhausts.

Isn't their another big Dodge muscle car supposed to have some of that strange exhaust technology (like the Neon)? Maybe it was the Viper but I'm pretty sure it was a new machine? I wanna say it was the Copperhead (beautiful) but that's not it. Need to see the article...

The SRT-4 is fast. But it's still a neon. So in essence you have a fast piece of crap. I could not bring myself to but a car that comes without an lsd, camber set at 0, and 205 hp from a 2.4L turbocharged engine. Granted it's economized but give me a break. The car scc recieved has 10% more hp than stock. Expect numbers to decrease signifigantly. Camber set at 0 degrees, that's just wrong.

we have some very biased people on this board
turbo 2.4L I4:
200+ HP
225+ torque
chassis that has won as many solo1 & solo2 in the past decade as any car around short of the RX7 & Miata.

what a POS!

the Neon SRT-4 costs roughly $4k more then the OZ Lancer - and blows it away performance wise. if it isn't your cup of tea, thats cool, it isn't mine either, but your opinion of the car doesn't make it junk... I would never own one, but that doesn't diminish it as a great performance deal.

i've never seen a neon win any solo2. But like i said, this car is not made for that. And like i said it is fairly quick. But the fit and finish on the neon is still, well, it's still a neon. Wow, it seems i fell the same way you do, it is a great performance deal. But not a great performance car. You must be lilleterate cause you just refuted your own opinion. Seeing as how i hate econoboxes, including the lancer, in it's current form. How am i biased exactly?

you can buy camber plates for the srt-4 (its not a neon people). that gets rid of the zero degree camber. they will be selling the lsd separately from dodges performance store. not to mention 3 performance upgrades which, the top one, will bring it to 290 hp, 315 ft/lbs of torque. it will be winning numerous auto-x events just like its little cousin the neon. just a neon? memorize that to tell your passenger when you get your *** smoked.

ps. some performance shops have already made aftermarket parts for this beast. on of them has got the hp to 794!! AND they are working to get it to 1000 hp. but, its just a neon.

people, **** the str8 line, if you want a str8 line car then buy American from the 60's with huge carburoters and centrifugal supercharges on 200 shots of nos. Now if you want a race car....I'd think that a turbo Lancer would give the neone a great run for it's money, and as for an Evo?...get real

Pimpson's points were this is hardly the class for straight line cars and the Neon will most likely never outhandle an Evo. Pretty cut and dry.
