Neon SRT-4
Man, you are the one reaching boy. We could say the sky is blue, youd call it purple.
"nothing on the srt-4 is beefed up from the neon. they are ALL NEW, they worked from the ground up. they are trying to make a name for themselves in the sport compact world. "
I will tell you one more time, from having interned in the automotive field, there is no way they totally redesigned the whole car and can offer it at 20 grand. No way, ask anyone who you want. Anyone. Oh yea, and asking a website if its a neon doesnt mean poop. Of course they will say it isnt, it doesnt say neon on the car.....
The car is a Neon. I guarentee you strip an Srt-4 and a Neon, you see alot of identical parts, because they are the same car.
Here is my last challenge to you sir. If it is completely a new car, and not a bit like a Neon, why in gods name did they make it so damn ugly, just like a Neon???
Im done with this thread, you can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink. Funny part was I was orignally defending the SRT-4 in this thread.......lol

have you heard of the dodge razor? you need to go back to interning! oh wait, they wont do that since they are sooo in need of money. right?"While the six-speed manual transmission was developed in Stuttgart, Germany, the engine is an upgraded version of Chrysler Group's 2.4-litre inline DOHC four-cylinder, now with a turbocharger and intercooler. The engine develops 250 horepower and 230 lb.-ft. of torque. Aimed at young driving enthusiasts, the Razor concept was designed with a targeted sticker price of US $14,500. "
i didnt ask "the website" it is DODGE!! the actual company!!! the ones releasing the srt-4.
as for why they made it look like the neon? i have no clue. that was a bad move in my opinion, because people will ultimately think it is the same car.
Alright, i read road and track's review. And it seems the power is there, but handling is lacking. And the title of the article is 2003 Dodge Neon SRT-4. R and T knows a lot more than you, so that debate is over. But i must say, i respect the car after reading that article, wouldn't buy it, but i respect it.
who cares what the **** they call it. it's a dodge.
what a stupid ****ing argument. "it's a neon!" "no it's not a neon!" "it's a neon!"
it's a ****ing car, it being a neon or not doesn't change anything about it. it's not like "oh it's a neon" now all the sudden the car sucks ***. that's like when integra owners put a "type R" badge on their car. calling it a neon or not doesn't add horsepower or performance. when it rolls off the assembly line they could slap a ****ing peugot sticker on it, it would still be the same car.

oh and by the way....the audi interior is very nice....i was referring to the overall driving experience of the IS300 compared to the A4 1.8T. plus the escaine trim on the lex is the most perfect seat fabric in existance.

and where did you see the road and track article? was it online or is the mag out already? i think the handling is lacking because of the 0 degree camber. add a camber plate and it will be up there with the best of them. look at all the NEONS in auto-x. they also started out with 0 degree camber but they are among the top performers.

dodge doesnt call the srt-4 a neon, and im sure they know more than you, and R and T, and i combined.

It has potential, but if i were looking for a car in that range, i'd wate for the turbo ( or supercharged, it is as yet unclear ) focus. You can't argue with the handling with the current svt, and if they convert it to awd. Oh my. As far as looks, i'm not impressed by either cars. But the focus will be getting an overall redesign in the next few years.
