Cien's all-aluminum, 7.5-liter dual-overhead cam (DOHC) 4-valve engine includes these features:
• Displacement on Demand (DOD) fuel-saving technology allows the engine to run on 6 cylinders
• Direct injection gasoline combustion system for increased engine power
• Combined starter generator for faster, quieter starts

Carbon Fiber Body
Cien's body and chassis are made of carbon fiber composite, a material derived from race car technology that is both lightweight and strong

• Flexible material improves aerodynamics and handling
• Lightweight body improves overall performance
• Strong chassis provides structural stability and enhanced safety

Rearview Cameras
Rearview camera technology replaces rearview mirrors

There are no rearview mirrors on Cien. They have been replaced by rear-vision cameras:
• The cameras view what's behind the car and relay the information to a screen on the dash
• No more defogging or deicing mirrors
• The blind-spot problem of rearview mirrors is completely eliminated

Stealth Fighter-Inspired Design
Cien's low, sleek appearance was inspired by modern day Stealth aircraft

• Scissor-style doors pivot at the base of the A-pillars upon opening
• Functional side air intake and exhaust vents lay flush with the surface of the car and open as required
• Fin-like, vertical taillights
• Directional sail panels, appearing to float above the surface, house air intakes for the V-12 engine
• Cadillac's characteristic crisp-edged spline runs the length of the body


BVLGARI Clock & Cluster
Key information done up in world-class style and elegance

Heralding the new century in style, Cadillac commissioned Bvlgari, the world-renowned Italian jeweler and luxury product maker, to design Cien's clock and instrumentation.

 

I seem to recall this (or something very similar) at the car shows in 2002...

 

Direct Injection is the future, it also CRAZY TIMING n cars, this will be the day we see 300+ HP NA 4bangers from the factory. I can't wait for it.
