Description:
This 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Special Edition is one of 340 that were sold in the US market. According to CAR and Driver Magazine (July 8, 2010), the Special Edition (SE) is slotted between the GSR and the MR. The SE has Eibach springs, Bilstein shocks, Brembo front discs, and the 6-speed SST dual-clutch automatic transmission with steering mounted magnesium alloy shift paddles (essentially from the MR), and the Recaro seats (fabric), trim, and base-level stereo from the GSR.
Of the 340 units, only 104 were produced in Phantom Black. This is number 239 of the 340 as indicated on the Special Edition key fob and letter from Shin Kurihara, President & CEO of Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. Additionally, this SE has two Optional Equipment Packages, (1) ACCY CHROME PACKAGE which includes Ralliart Fluted Wheel Locks, and Chrome Mirror Covers, (2) ACCY INTERIOR SPORT PACKAGE, which includes the Aluminum/Leather Brake Grip, and Aluminum/Leather 6 Spd Shift Knob. So if you are a collector, I think these two option packages probably make it that much more rare. I haven't seen other SE's with these options.
I am the original owner and purchased the car new in 2010. There have been NO modifications made and the car is all original (with the exception of window tint), and has a detailed maintenance history. The car was garaged about 50% of the time. It is a "Texas car" and is completely free from rust (see pictures) with second row headrests showing slight fading. The vehicle currently has Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires installed at 43,583 miles, or 4,134 miles ago. This car corners like it's on rails, is a blast to drive, has Recaro front seats, will seat 5 people, and is very unique. I've loved this car!
I've had no mechanical issues whatsoever. The vehicle has a few very small paint chips on the front portion of the hood. Please see external videos of the Mitsubishi Evo X on Top Gear, etc. Serious inquiries only. Many Thanks! RobertoEvoX or robt.bowers@gmail.com 11/11/2020
