Out of the 263 RS model Evos that were sold in the US in 2004, this is 1 of 84 that were Phoenix Red.  The Evo has only 88K miles, a clean title, and has not been exposed to salt.  I am listing for a good friend.

The exterior is in excellent condition as shown in the pictures with absolutely no rust. The body has no major dents or scratches. The interior is in good condition and shows typical wear for the age. The factory 17” Enkei wheels are also in good condition. 

he is offering the car at this fair price because some engine work is required.  The car runs and drives smooth and straight but does burn oil.  Compression test results were within specification across all cylinders. Leak down test also showed even spread across all the cylinders. He has put hundreds of miles on the car and made sure the oil level was at the correct levels when driven. The car starts up without any issues on the custom speed density tune and is smooth and easy to drive. There are no check engine light codes.

The five-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly and there are no other issues with the car. The differentials are also in good condition. No transmission grinds, whines, or pop outs. The clutch is also new and has smooth engagement/disengagement. 

Previous owner had the motor built approximately 2,000 miles ago, but as mentioned, it does have some issues.  The work from the previous owner includes:

This 2004 Mitsubishi Evo 8 RS is being sold because he is choosing not to replace the engine and keep the car. With an engine rebuild/replacement, this would be a great car. There are a lot of aftermarket parts installed and is a great platform to continue the build.
