Description:
2003 Evo 8 for sale, verification below. Need to sell to out of state (California) buyer as I don't think it will pass smog due (needs to go to California smog referee) to mods or whatever. Not sure of the exact mileage but it's pretty close. Was going to fix it up and sell it but now because of smog not going to bother. Took it to my mechanic and had new clutch (master/slave) put in and then left it there for about a year while I tried to figure out what to do with it. Mechanic needs his space back so I'm selling it because I don't have time to deal with all the paperwork/smog, etc.. Which means someone gets a screaming deal!! It has some sort of coating (red/grey stuff) on it ( I was told to protect the paint but who knows) that can be scraped off (according to my mechanic, paint underneath is fine). It also needs a new front bumper assembly (see pics). I will try to answer any question to the fullest of my ability but it's my daughter's car and quite frankly, I don't know much about these cars. This would have to be picked up and either driven or maybe towed/trailered back to your state. Don't even bother offering if you live in California, it's probably not worth the headache. I've included every pic I have but if you want a photo of a specific thing it may take a day or 2.
First $7000.00 gets it. If you have the means and skill to fix it this is a GREAT deal!! I've already been offered $6000.00 for it but I literally just put $2000.00 (new clutch - parts & labor) so I think $7000.00 is fair. I'm not holding it for anyone because I've done that before and gotten burned. If you want it, get here and buy it!!
Let the games begin.....

I'm not a serious buyer, but i'd like to offer a word of advice. You should let CA folks have a chance to buy it too. It can be turned into an off road race car with less than a month of effort. Many of us do have the means and skill to fix it
Good advice!! And beer never hurts!! I never meant to exclude anyone, just wanted to make sure that everyone knows it will be a b***h to smog. I don't know what the rules/regulations are for off-roading stuff but yeah, anyone can buy it.
But for the price, its pretty good.
