Potential scammer "Willy0J"

Possible scammer "Willy0J".. He responded to a WTB ad for an Evo 9 turbo and seemed legit at first, but it got super weird after I sent payment (G&S of course). After he said he would get it shipped out in a few days, he emailed me late at night to say that the paypal account got restricted and that I would need to file a dispute with paypal to get my money back since he was unable to refund the money "due to the axcount being restricted" then said I would need to split the payments in smaller amounts to different account. I did get my money back from PayPal, but that whole thing was super sketchy and didn't make any sense, not to mention he would message me with random sob stories on why it took him so long to reply to my emails. Just be aware.

I mean paypal restricts for the dumbest things and you have no access to your account. Problem with his story is they always allpw refunds. Even when the account is fully locked. So definitley a red flag here.

Yea and he wanted me to resend the money in 3 separate payments to different accounts. Super sus
Also I forgot to mention that the PayPal address he sent for me to send the money to was different than the one he was emailing me from because he said he did not have a paypal and had to use a family members accoun, which is whatever, its weird but possible. However after it started gettin weird, I got curious and put his email in that he was using to message me into PayPal and it was flagged and PayPal wanted me to enter his name, phone number and country of residence before I could make any transaction due to potential fraud risk or whatever it said.

Sorry for resurrecting this post but just had to deal with this same person. This "Willyj0J" also claims he does not have his own paypal and uses "friend" paypal instead. He wanted F&F on Paypal but thankfully I chose G&S instead. I was able to refund and get my money after seeing so many red flags.

Yea, typical scammer story. Using a friend's account, splitting payments, etc. All big red flags.

Hi,

Thank you so much for sharing your experiencewith "Willy0J." It definitely look like a scam, especially with the strange requests and excuses. It's a very good reminder for everyone to stay vigilant when buying online and to always use secure payment methods like PayPal's Goods and Services. We are Glad you got your money back.

Thanks
