I'm going to the "Import v. Domestic: World Cup Finals" this Sunday Nov. 7 at MIR and a few friends are going down with me. Anyone in the area who'd like to meet up and caravan, please post interest here and by thursday we can make a decision when and where to meet (probably Tysons Corner). The admission is $15 and the gates open at 10am.

It's roughly 30 miles south of DC...

 

I'll be headed down myself. Hope to have my utec in by then. I'm in the woodbridge area.

It was a good event and perfect weather. We had a nice little 3 Evo, M3, V8 Touareg, VR6 caravan and saw many other groups going down. We just stayed for the first couple of rounds, but saw a nice low 9s run from Sean Glazer driving the Extreme Motorsports Talon.

Oh yeah... dozens of 'em! There was one restaurant parking lot that had like 5 or 6 trooper cars and maybe 10 police with one guy manning the radar. Fortunately, we were cruising slowly, but there were lots of 2F2F groups that looked like they got nailed.

 

Lol, they love big events at MIR.

 

Did anyone see me get spanked by the 10 second stang? It was my only run for the day and got a 13.5. I was hoping for a better time but I didnt feel like waiting 3 hours for one more run. Did any of you guys get video's? Also what times were you guys getting?

 

I was talking to you in the staging lanes... I think. Nice run. Best I could do was a 12.62 @ 112. I modified my launch a little bit on Sunday to save my clutch for the winter. Didn't work out to good but I wasn't going to qualify anyways. The damn cut line was 11.7 in our class.

 

I think I got you on video... I taped all of the Evos I saw - plus a lot more. (I talked to you in staging... I was also the guy who talked to you at MachV about the Buschur pipe)

 

I'm working on editing the video down to all relevant clips... Unfortunately, the only time I have is late at night, so it'll be a day or 2

 

Hey man! Thats a nice time I wish I would have seen it. That class we were in was tough. I should have just done the ET class then maybe I could have got another run in. Maybe next season we will be able give em hell.

 

Sweet. I cant wait to see them even thou I got smoked. I hoped to chat with you a little more but I couldnt find anyone with all the people there. Are you going to post the video's on this site when your done?
