Exclamation Fellow EVO Owner Looking for Job in MD

Hope this is okay to post in this form, If not please accept my apologies.

I have been employed in the IT sector for almost 6 years now. I was fortunate enough to avoid the "dot com boom" and have always had a stable job. Well, I guess time catches up with some people and it may be my turn to play the "find a job" game. I've been looking steadily in the Baltimore area, but figured it wouldn't hurt to hit the old social network to see if a fellow EVO/ Lancer owner had the "inside track" at their company. I am still employed, but that situation is either going to last another few weeks at the worst or a couple more months at the best. I'm planning for the worse.

I am a programmer with six years total experience of which, 2.5 years in .NET Development (C#, ASP.NET, Web Services, Win Forms, Classes, etc) and 6 years of other programming development (C++, PHP, PERL, ASP, VB, Cold Fusion, HTML, JavaScript). I have 6 years of experience with Database Engineering and Development in MS SQL Server 6.5, 7.0, 2000, MySQL 3.0 through version 4.0 (on Linux), PostgreSQL 7.0 (on Linux) and 8.0 (on windows), Oracle 8i and 9i on AIX Unix and Linux. I also have a solid background in Network Engineering and System Engineering (I started my career on the engineer side of things and moved to development).

I am looking for full time direct placement work in the Baltimore area meaning anywhere from Columbia Maryland Area all the way up to Aberdeen MD area. I can start at any time. If anyone can help me out, please PM me and I will send you a copy of my resume and cover letter.

Thank you!

I wish I knew or checked earlier. I was looking for someone with your experience in the Timonium area last month.. I think thats very close to Parkville. I rarely check this site because I don't own an EVO.

We have someone now. Maybe next time...

Seriously man, My wife has a computer science degree and she's been looking for Jobs in this area. Especially on the York road corridor and columbia. Check Monster.com for that. There's tons of stuff open for people with your skills.

Do you have a clearence? If so I may be able to use you. It would need to be TS/SI, and you need a lifestyle polygraph. Location of work is Ft. Meade, bout 15 min from Columbia, MD.

Why don't you try linkedin? It's kind of like friendster but geared towards making professional contacts.
