But anyway if anybody here in the hampton roads can help me with my car problem shoot me a pm. I think its something very minor, hopefully I can get it fixed before I lose my mind. Havent driven the car in a while, its been longer than a month!!! AHHHHHHHH Btw, the car stutters when its in boost, like I hear a bah bah bah bah loud *** backfire sounds and the car humps itself. In the 1st and 2nd gear it doesn't do it as much, mainly in the higher rpms. Also since the car is doing this, it feels like I am losing power... 8- ( help me someone pleasee. Mitsubishi won't look at my car since they say I have to much stuff when its minor bolt ons. THey suck anyway, so do most of the shops around here!!

put back your stock BOV and see if that solves the problem...............

It didn't we spent a few hours under his hood. I found one problem, which was a loose i/c hose connecting to the throttlebody, once that was back on the studdering (backfiring) was gone but there is still a boost leak somewhere....

WOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!! Car is finally running like a champ again. Found out that it was something from the pump that was doing it. It was this little white plastic spacer that caused this damn stuttering. I had to buy it from mitsu because the shop never gave me my old PUMP BAck or my plugs, and that piece was on my old pump! After I got it on, the boost kept going up and no damn stuttering! Til my upper ic piping coupler flew off, but I fixed that by adding new t bolt clamps on it and now it doesn't move. I'm up for a meet anytime now if you guys wanna meet up. Its finally spring and my car is finally running again WOOOOOOOOOT. Appreciate your help few weeks ago Rob, I knew the upper ic was one of the problem, but wouldnt have never known that it was that plastic piece if I didnt call up direct performance!! Millenium auto sports fawkin sucks is all i have to say people never go to them... ever!!!

driving home on 64 yesterday around noon time, I saw my frist mr around here, silver evo just like mine but it was an mr. MR is a nice car and all, I wouldnt pay 6 more grand for an extra gear, new shocks, and 15 more torque and 10 horsepower 8- X Maybe if they had the actual mr tails, the s-ayc and few other gadgets it would be worth while. Whenever they bring s-ayc here Im jumping on it right away! So anyway, whats up with the meets ups? It might be raining this weekend so might be better to plan something for the upcomming weeeks. Anybody else down for one?

hey what's up guys. I am thinking about getting some cams soon, from gsc maybe. Anybody here who installed cams in the are themselves? Only shop I trust now to go to is evolution motorsports, but they are all the way in d.c. I don't want to go there yet til I get my cams and stuff before I get tuned. If you know how to do a good job on installing cams on an evo let me know. I might just save up and get both the camshafts and gears. I have arp headstuds also if anybody knows how to install those. Also, would i need bigger injectors and a new clutch?

also check out AMS guys, they are in Maryland but awesome shop and customer service. http://www.amstuning.com/

by the way, what are your thoughts on gsc cams and which ones are you getting. i've been thinking about getting hks 272s on both but have been hearing good things about the gsc's.

also depending on which cam profiles you get you may or may not need bigger injectors. first, do you have a bigger fuel pump? and as far as clutch, i'd wear out the stock first if they are still good, unless you are feeling slippage now.
