Seehy mitsubishi sucks!!
hi Guys
BAD EXPIERENCE SHEEHY@ Manassas
I just went on Monday to Sheehy on Manassas due to the good word of a lot of you guys to get my Evo checked out. I was having some weird sounds coming from the right front wheel everytime I came over a bumb. I first heard it the day of the tune day comming back from TurboTrix. Anyway after 1hrs of waiting on the car and watching the "master tech" work on my car, I decided to watch him more closely while he took notes on my mods I laugh quietly wondering what did the exhaust had to do with the noise in the front right of the car. The so called master tech there looked at my car for 1hr and then the computer, then the car, then the computer. At this point Im getting a feeling of this guy does not know how or what the hell to look at. He then calls his buddy they talk, they look at the computer they look some more and master tech gets it the car and goes for a drive, comes back and thells me that we need to talk. He tells me, "that car has a lot of mods that I cant cover under warranty and I have to make notes in my record to note that you have a aftermarket exhaust, swaybars, end links so if anything happens they know you had those parts on so they can void the warranty". He was wondering why did the engine cover bolts has been taken out. Of course I acted stupid and I told him well I dont know why(can you say cams, cam gears
Anyway he said that they didnt heard anything other than normal evo noises and to drive it for 2000 more miles and bring it back. I told him, "this is driving me crazy and you want me to drive 2000 more miles, I dont think so".
GOOD EXPIERENCE @ ALEXANDRIA MITSUBISHI
I called Bob Harper, service manager there, great guy, I told him about the problem I was having and he told me bring it by and We'll look at it. I was ready for the 3hr wait one more time, but to my surprise the took it right in got it on the lift and found out the noise was comming from a loose front swaybar. I was so relieved and happy that it want like a bad differential or something big like that. So Tom the real deal MAster tech tell me lets go for a drive to make sure that was the problem and it was fixed. The noise was gone and I was a happy man again! I tell him about the bad deal at sheehy and he tells me that the so called master tech has no crudentials, I mean none. I wasn not surprised after watching him look at my car with a bumbass look and then to the service manual.
Guys I hope that you are not bored with my story but after reading the post about stohlman I needed to give credit where credit is due. To make matters better he does cam installs and clutch replacement on the side in his spare time. I told him about the club and he said to let you guys know that they are mod friendly and even told me that we can get 20% discount on booklist stock orders

Wow, sounds like a fantastic experience at Alexandria, I might have to make that my new dealership. I bought my car at Sheehy and really had a great buying experience, but the guy did warn me that any mods would void the warranty.
Thanks for the info on Alexandria.

bob harper's a great guy. i've always gone there for service work, and we chat about cars; he tells me about evos that come in with ridiculous power, things like that. he's cool as ****. don't know how mod-friendly they are since i haven't gone in for warranty work. i bought my car from that dealership when it was still under Field Mitsu. the mechanics are very friendly and everyone there treats you good.
Yeah Bob is cool, he mention a red evo with carbon fiber hood that goes there putting almost 400whp. I told him that I didnt speed around acting stupid and he said,"**** I do" LOL

Sorry to hear about your experience but at least you got it resolved.
I bought my Ralliart at Jerry's Mitsubishi in Baltimore and I've had phenominal service. I just got my one year thank you card from my sales rep.

Doesn't matter to me now...I live in Florida...
HOLY SH*T i had the EXACT SAME PROBLEM at SHEEHY in manassas also. I initially went in there to get an alignment. At the time, I only had new rims and the rrm axleback exhaust, those were the only things I did to my car. The moron comes out and tells me, now get ready for this cause this IS THE DUMBEST THING I HAVE EVER HEARD, he says "your aftermarket muffler setup has been hitting the sway bar of the car, which in turn has knocked your alignment out of whack and unfortunately we cant cover the alignment"...............................Now im no brain surgeon, but Ive heard guys on crack that made more sense than him! Im also not one to talk back to people, but i told him "Now what the fu*k sense does that make? You're just too God da*n lazy to align it" and he replies back with "I dont need to listen to this" and he just gives me my keys back. So yeah, I can vouch for those guys being dumb as a box of rocks.
BLKRalliArt04, you think that's bad? I can out do all of you.
I went up there about a week ago with some friends of mine an hour before they close. I walk around waiting to get raped by one of the sales guys, but no one comes out, I don't know weather to be insulted that I'm not being baggered or happy. But my intention was to test drive a Ralliart. Well I walk into the place looking to talk to someone and I get apporached by this lady. Mean while my friends are looking at the other cars there. The sales lady was very nice but just started, so she didn't know very much about the cars.
I tell her that I have a 03 Lancer OZ and am looking to buy up, which is the truth. I told her I wanted to test drive a Ralliart and she said she'd have to check if they hand any in stock... seems likely enough. Well, she asks one of the other people there and they say they don't. So we sit around and talk for a bit about the car while we walk over to a guy behind an elevated desk, you know what I'm talking about if you've been in the show room. Well the guy looks me up and down and then looks through some papers and says, "Nope, we don't have any in stock right now sorry." So the lady says let me get your information... so I agree thinking well they'll just call me when they get some in, right?
Well I walk out of the place and find my friends and they say, "why aren't test driving a Ralliart man?" To which I tell them the entire story about them not having any in stock. My friend turns to me and says, "There are two right over there man..."
Now I was dressed in jeans and a tee shirt, and I might have had some greese on my shirt from working on my car eariler that day, but seriously to lie to a potential customer??? WTF?
Anyway, I'm keeping my 03 Lancer, it might not be as fast but it'll be all mine soon enough. And if I need to go buy another Mitsubishi, I'll go somewhere else.

When I told the story to Tom (the master tech at Arlington) he told me that he used to work there and he was next on the list to be the overall in charge of the shop. When they told him they were going to let the other guy in charge he quit! He told me that the so call Master tehc is not even ASE certified and has 0 crudentials and/or school to work on any of the car far less a EVO
