Anyway, I've been "scanning" a bit, just reading around. I'm actually from Maryland, but unfortunately, my grandmother passed on October 1, so I'm in Delaware for a funeral on Tuesday.

Yesterday, I decided to take a spin, and came in contact with a yellow stock appearing Evolution in Wilmington, Delaware (I'm originally from DE). He was travelling down Limestone Road, and eventually made his way on to Rt 1 by Christiana Mall. He had a "Mach V" sticker in the rear window, and I believe he was travelling with his child.

Anyway, just wondering if he were someone from here. We exchanged waves, and parted ways. Very nice car! I just wanted to give some props.

If he reads this, I was the guy in the STi (blue/gold wheels) with the MD plates.

 

Sorry to hear about your grandmother btw.... Do you plan on coming up on a Sunday this week or next week? To Wilmington that is... tryin ta meet up with a couple ppl around the Christiana Mall area. Just curious....

 

Hey man, thanks for the condolences. We actually just got back from the funeral. Tough day.

I probably won't be up to Delaware for a few weeks. My parents live close to the Christiana Mall area. They live in a neighborhood off Kirkwood Hwy.

The next time I'm up to Delaware, I'd be more than happy to meet up!

I'm actually leaving for home today (probably at about 5 or 6pm), and normally we go through Newark and down Elkton Rd, just to avoid the toll. Maybe I'll see ya if you're out! I have a blue STi/gold wheels and MD plates (obviously).

Sorry about your loss - my dad's mother passed away last weekend and between Mark, Lindsey, and her... last week was really sh*tty

I am sorry for your loss as well. It's never easy, especially if it's someone dear to you.

My grandmother was one of those people that always made everyone feel like #1. You could do no wrong in her eyes. She made everyone feel like the favorite. She was a wonderful person, and it's not going to be easy to let go. I have a real rocky journey ahead of me, and unfortunately, it's not something that I can just run away from. It won't matter where I go or what I do. The thought of her will always be there.

The only thing I can say is that I'm just going to try to keep busy, so I don't think about it so much. I'm just emotionally spent. I've been living in Hell for the past few weeks. Here's a recap of my past two weeks:

1. 12 hour ride home from Wisconsin, and wife and I argue entire way home.

2. When returning rental car same evening as coming home from Wisconsin, get a speeding ticket.

3. Camaro's $2000 transmission just blows up with no warning, with less than 26,000 miles on it.

4. My grandmother died.

5. The morning that my grandmother died, I decide to start up the Camaro, and turn on windshield wipers to clear the dirty windshield, just for "something to do." The windshield wipers quit working (the piece of sh*t breaks even when I'm NOT driving it).

6. On the way to Delaware on Saturday (when grandmother died) I have a rock fly up and put a nice quarter-sized ding in my hood.

7. I attended my grandmother's funeral today.

At this point, I'm not sure anything else could possibly go wrong. I just feel like I keep getting kicked in the nuts one time after the next.

 

I know the feeling bro - just keep your head up. Things will eventually get better.

yeah - i live there. I work on the air base but only until the end of the month. I'm getting transferred in November. i have a red oz with c/f tails and < coming soon > a c/f grille.

 

you guys mentioned like meet or something this weekend at the mall? is there one or do you wanna get one together? i dont have an evo, only a lancer but id still like to go.
