no mods for me

i changed my mind about putting some mods on my evo after what happened to me at hall's yesterday. I took the evo in because the left front brake was making a load noise (something like someone blowning a whistle in my ear) for about a week.

so the out come of the check up was they didnt want to fix the problem under the warranty since i spray brake quieter on the rotor to see if the problem fixed itself (a couple of days before it went in for service). the reason i put on it was because i couldnt stand the noise anymore.

so now i have to pay $450 to fix the brakes. for the reason they said was that the spray caused other parts to get damage as well. so a $5 spray now is costing me $455

this made up my mind about putting some mods on my evo. because think about it.if this happened only for a brake quieter spray think about what would happen once i put mods on . like lets say the engine goes to s#@$ and then they go and say its because of the intake i put on it. mits cars are great but there service sucks.

evo...i am only guessing here...but by your total lack of comprehensible english in your post, I would dare guess you are probably pretty young...Of course I am not going to flame you for owning an evo when you are 16, but it may be beneficial to let one of your parents bring the car in and ***** out the dealership... They will likely be far more responsive to someone a bit older. (dont take my advice if you arent 16 and just cant spell or write in normal english).

They didn't want to fix my brake pad that came DEFECTIVE from the factory... they did... but not happily. Warranty is there just to drag u in... hook line and sinker. So I just think of it like there was never a warranty.... and mod it all you want! lol Atleast there's free oil changes warranty or not.. haha

Just find another dealer some treat you like **** others are awesome about service. That is in no way reason to not fix your breaks.

If I am correct there are only two dealerships, vabeach and NN. How loud is the noise it could be same problem as CnGEvO8's, a defective brake pad; how many miles do you have maybe its just time to replace your break pads. I am assuming that since they know how much they are going to charge you for labor/parts then they know the problem. Did you ask them what was wrong? If you know then it could be something you could fix on your own; granted you would have to pay for the part, but you wont have to pay for the labor. The whole warranty is a joke, for the most part you basically lose your warranty the moment you leave the dealership.

Try one of the other dealers in the area. There's Hall in VA Beach, Hall in Newport News, and First Team in Chesapeake.

I tried taking in my car for a turbo problem and they did not cover it because of the TBE. So before i left, i walked over to see the evo MR and the sales guy came out fast. He told me, are you looking to trade in your evo? I said maybe. He said, well now you get 5yr and 60k mile warranty!! I felt like breaking his nose.

this is a forum not a news letter. i didnt know i needed to spell check and make sure i was using proper english like you said. but for those of us that grew up in the streets this is proper english. for someone that thinks they are so old don't you have better things to do then look at forums proof reading people's post?
