Okay guys, we need to get a car club together...maybe if we get a name first then everthing else will follow. It seems like everyone wants to meet, and when it gets down to it, it falls through. We need to get something together...

I just started one and we went with East Coast Coustms mainly becuase my friend who is our main sponser's store is East Coast Tint Company and I liked the name. GOod luck though you have a long road ahead of you its alot harder than people think I mean it was alot easier for me becuase I have a strong sponser and shop to back me and there were tons of kids who wanted to join up right away but none the less it isnt easy.

Here is one more from the area, was out of town visiting my daughter-in-law in NC. Just might be a little to old for the whole thing (42). Would still be interested though, and I'm planning on making it to the April Meet/BBQ next month, maybe that would be a good place to try to get together and start up. I'll keep checking back for more info.

Thanks Crzylizard, I look at it like this, I'm 42, feel like I'm about 62 at times but try to act like I'm still around 22 (doesn't always work according to my 16yo daughter). I have loved working on cars since I was about 14 and have done alot with cars in my life. I've built motors for the older (60s-70s) era cars, last one a 350hp 350ci motor I put in a 81 GMC pickup. That one was a blast to drive. It was primer brown and hauled ***!! Mustang 5.0s used to laugh at it untill they tried it and saw nothing but the taillights. I like the Lancer, it's a sporty car with alot of potential and still works good for a everyday driver. The 81 GMC got about 8-10 MPG , went through about 25 gallons a week just to get to and from work. I also worked on a pit crew for a NASCAR Busch Grand National car for a few years.
I'm up for helping out and participing in a club, just can't promise alot of time due to family and work.

 

hey, I saw VA, i'm down with the meeting thing. But as far as the team deal. I'm already part of a local team, but if you all wanna get together and meet up i'll try to bring out my friends ( 5 tuned O.Z Lancers)
