Cam install suggests..

Sup everybody, I might be getting some cams soon hopefully if these deals go through. I was supposed to get them during the summer, but I was broke and still am 8- ( I was wondering if there are still some places running cam specials or anybody local that is willing to install for a good price. I also want my rod bolts and headstuds installed as well if theres no extra charge. I am trying to find a place tha will do them around 200 (yes I know I am a cheap basterd, but i have barely enough to even buy these cams but been wanting them forever!). I live in 757 area in newport news, there are not many good shops around here that specialize in installing engine mods for the evo, so if the price is right I would not mind driving a few hours away. Please give me some suggestions. Thanks.

if money is tight, you have the option to install them yourself, just buy the timing belt tool. I believe evomoto.com has well written instructions on how to do it.

lol, I've never touched the engine before and I don't want to screw anything up. I heard it takes about 4-5 hours to install. If anybody knows a good shop that will help install with a reasonable price, please pm me, thanks

I know several shops in the area, a few of which are sponsors of both EvoM and DcEvo. Did you follow my advice yet? You can get tons of recommendations from locals while also getting special deals on cams and installation.

There's noone in the richmond/beach area that I'm aware of that I would trust to do the install. I went up to ISP in beltsville and had it down for a reasonable price..

yea thats where I am thinking to go to. I've talked to two evo owners in the area that have done their own cam installs, but I am still unsure as of yet who I will go to.
