Va Beach EVO's
hey guys! Me and the wife are gonna be moving to the chesapeake area in May. Buying a house in Suffolk I think. We were down there last weekend and I didn't see a SINGLE one of you! I actually liked the idea that there weren't any on the street... I saw a few Imprezas. However, from this huge thread I assume there's quite a few of you. Any idea how many? Also I see from the post above that on Sat you guys go to Bass Pro Shop. Anything else you guys do? Cant wait.
Oh one more question. I know the military bases there have E85... Does anyone know where I can get it around there? (either military hookup or a public pump)

The only place that I heard of in the Hampton Roads area with E85 is Langley, I do not think they sell it to the public though. I was not aware that the military bases(there are several bases locally here) sold it. What do you use it for, an alky kit, or are you just running straight off E85?
I already run blue water (meth/water) injection, but I wanna switch from 93 to E85, big gains to be had.

I believe ethanol is pretty corrosive so several parts of the fuel system would prob. have to be replaced. I imagine it would make tunning a little harder since ethanol has a stoich afr of ~9 (needs more fuel to reach stoich, prob. need bigger injectors b/c of this), so all the fuel maps would have to be changed to reflect this.
It's of course a tuning issue, plus you def. have to have oversized injectors. The tuning really shouldn't be a problem, I could have maps knocked out in a couple hours. Replacing the lines or regulator won't be hard, only thing will be the fuel pump... I'll see if the walbro can manage. If not then I'll have to use a noisy external race pump in the trunk or something. Not that big a deal... especially considering the gains to be had. If I can find a supplier of E85 down there I'll pick up an FP Green and have pretty much what I've always wanted out of this vehicle. Great spool and very reliable 400+ hp with torque to match. But the E85 oughta be good for 20ish hp in and of itself, so that may tide me over on power for a while.
So... anyways... how many of you guys are there?

Wassup VA EVO members. I'm new to VA. I'm currently in the Virginia Beach area. Anyways, I thought I'd ask all of you your advice on the best shops out here for us EVO owners, as far as buying performance parts, accessories, etc. Of course, trying to stay away from the shops that are complete rip-offs. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks!!!

lol neither of those will be me I'm sure. I have 350AWHP and I roadrace, not drag. I was just about to buy the Green, and go for the 400 mark... but I decided to get a few exterior parts instead.
