I play, i use clubhouse clubs and suck horribly but i have fun just being out there.

 

ive been to the one here on base at oceana and red wing lake.. redwing lakes pretty nice. & some buddies went to owls creek but said it wasnt very good

 

score wise...lol

 

i saw you say where so thats why my mind registered lol dont know usually 2 over par on every hole, not the best but i can get lucky every now and then

First Annual Mid-Atlantic Evo Meet

So, how does everyone feel about our First Annual Mid-Atlantic Evo Meet??? I will plan to include NC as well, even though they don't fall under the Mid-Atlantic region. I think Richmond would be a great spot in the middle for everyone. It is only 1.5 hours from us and I-95 runs right through Richmond for the NC guys and the Northern VA/MD/DE guys. I'm thinking about some time in August and maybe looking at getting a mobile dyno too. Also maybe we can do a BBQ/food stand and I can contact Red Bull if the meet will be large enough to get their support. Another thing is maybe after the meet we can all go to VIR for some races... Just some of my thoughts, but it is still in the works and have to talk to a lot of people about it and wanted to see what you guys think/suggestions before I make the official thread.

The only thing about Aug that i can think of is people might already be planning/saving for the Buschur Shootout in the end of Aug. I know i will be. But im always up for fun.

 

It wouldn't be the first mid-atlantic meet... already been to one a few years back when I lived in Maryland. If anything, I would just try to get in on the site wide meet that is in Tennessee. I know I am on the fence about doing anything because of the shootout, dets, and possibly initiation.

What about July? Theres actually a pretty big NASA weekend in july on the 23rd/24th...why not just tie in with that? It was my impression that renting out a track the size of VIR was a tad expensive.

I didn't say anything about renting it out. Besides, who said I don't have deep pockets?

I think this would be a great idea. I'm sure all the guys from Fredericksburg and Richmond would definitely be down. I also think July would be better, what about July 16. Maybe even consider seeing if Virginia Motorsports Park could be acquired for 1/4 mile runs. Probably cheaper than VIR.

 

I'd be down. It really just depends on what my work schedule is like then.
