the sad thing around here is that only the shady dealerships seem to bring Evo's in. so unless you find a private sale, that's what your stuck with. just have it looked at, or if your a competent mechanical person have a good hard look at it. i bought mine from elite motors and they're a bit sketchy, but i haven't had any problems with it in 3 years.

I don't think the place on virginia beach is too shady looking. They sell everything from terminator cobras to lifted trucks all nice looking vehicles but then again i have never stopped to look at anything or talk to them

I stopped by to check the car out today and drive it and man it is actually very well taken care and the tasteful mods on it are just right with JIC coilovers, RH 19" wheels, JDM rear bumper and taillights, some engine mods, and clean I mean really just clean with no dents/dings/paint work/ perfectly aligning panels.

I talked with the salesman there and unlike the others have said he actually wasnt pushy at all and was very nice and quick to let me drive the car and really check it over. I was under the car and pulling stuff off to look for things and everywhere was impeccable and as perfect as can be.

None the less I think I will be an evo owner come tomorrow afternoon

^ man that sucks, that sounded like it was super clean...if the price was right, the work was done perfectly and you plan to never sell it then maybe it's worth it

Rebuilt title doesn't always mean its bad. You can have your seats stolen and the car is totaled. Then new seats are put in etc and it's now rebuilt.

I would find out why it was rebuilt

I would agree but you can't charge clean title price for a rebuilt title car, no matter how clean the work a rebuilt title car will and should go for at least 5k less than a similar clean title one.

On the auto check report all it says is accident but not what kind of accident exactly and it was at 1600 miles!!

I may make them an offer at 15-16k today for it because of the title but I won't pay full price of course.

I've seen more than a few used EVO 8/9 near us on witchduck, I don't remember which lots they were on but they were parked at the edge of the road and grey/silver IIRC.
