oooh, ooh, Gary PM me too! lol... same place as last time I was there? (like I remember how to get there... lol) Sorry guys... I'm bored at work and didnt drink enough coffee... so Im spacin'. maybe I'll go work on alex's tune a bit... o wait.. I'm supposed to figure out how to log that AEM... mission accepted. Lord... I'm tired.
Soooo, last night I went to Ryans(honki24) and got some tuning done. Well, heres the scoop:
Got to Ryans, set camgears to -4,-1.
Took 1 run in 3rd at WOT(17psi). There was little knock so Ryan did his thing, then I raised the boost to 21psi.
Second run, car is hauling ***!!! The stroker makes INSANE torque!! Ryan does his thing again, this time only 1-2 counts of knock during peak boost, then its gone. I tried NLTS and sucked at it, so I asked him to turn it off so that I didnt kill myself trying to shift.
Third run, after Ryan works his magic, I turn the boost up to 23psi(spiking to 24, on PUMP gas mind you) and GOOD GOD!!! My car now feels like it did before the stroker, but WITH ALKY! My afrs were a little on the rich side for only 93, but its tough when all I have is the UEGO and no connection for a laptop to datalog. I have to say Ryan was extrordinary at tuning and he did it in less than 2.5 hours!!!
Notes:
Started at 11psi, went to 24.
Gas guzzeling monster to 300+ miles per tank
Learned a little about timing on strokers
Got NLTS(failed and returned to norm), valet mode, and the knock light.
Finally, Ryan is highly recommended, actually, I recommend him more than any other Evo tuner in the 757 by a long shot. Thanks a ton Ryan, seriously man for all of your help!
