Break ins/ Car jackings
Ladies and Gents,
Just wanted to get on the forums and let everyone know about an incident which only seems to grow and become worse. 2 Days ago my back window in my Evolution was broken out. It's going to cost me $430.00 to get it fixed. Upon arrival of the police officer, he told me within the Baltimore and DC area, there have been many car jackings, mainly imports (especially civics). They are stealing the cars and stripping them down in the DC area and selling the parts cheap. What they are doing is following people home and breaking a window to test for an alarm. If no alarm is activated, the officer said they usually come back within a week to steal the car. He said this happened to his brothers Civic...they didn't get away with the car though which is defeniltey a good thing. Just keep an eye out for anything odd. He said if you are going to large car meets, watch for anything out of the ordinary. If you have any information on this topic please call your local police department. Thanks for reading and good luck!
