I had an 03 evo for 2.5 years.... traded it for an 03 cobra mustang conv....

I was wondering if anyone with an 06 (prefably an MR) Evo wanted to see how well they do against each other from a roll....

I have been hearing about slightly (reflash and exhaust) modified evo's doing 110mph in the qtr which is about all my car should do (all stock except exhaust and airfilter).....

I keep thinking I want to go back to an Evo, but my 2003 only trapped at 102mph at maple grove.

 

Im down, i live in bel air, MD so its a little drive, but i have a stock evo 9 mr so if u wana make the drive one night its cool wit me.

 

Quick question. Why is it that owners of V-8 powered vehicles (Cobra, Vettes, GTO's) always want to challenge the EVO from a roll? I am not trying to start anything, I am just curious.

 

I know any decent Evo driver will skunk my mustang from a start.... I just wanted to see how much better a IX is than the 03 Evo that I had.

i raced my dad in my old Evo vs him in my Cobra and from a roll the Cobra destroyed it, even if starting in the wrong gear........ supposedly the 06's are a good bit stronger so i thought I would see how well they do......

i love how fast I can go from 60mph to 120mph in my cobra... if the new evo is pretty close than I may switch....if I am 6 car lengths in front, then maybe the new IX isn't so much better......
