Black Evo totalled in NOVA
I heard from some friends back home in NOVA that some junior who attends Langley High School (my HS actually - which is known as the richest high school and named snobbiest by MTV, unsurprisingly) bought a Black Evo, then totalled it 3 days later. You know, that really sucks. For both him, and for the rest of us because our insurance is gonna go up.
I don't know if you post on this board, but I hope that the car was totalled because someone else hit you, and not because you were doing something stupid on the road and flipped the car or ran it off the road and hit something.
The parents have to be held responsible too, I think. The NOVA area is one of the richest areas in the country, and when I was at Langley we had 2 FD RX-7's, 1 NSX (driven by a girl!
),a bunch of BMW's, Benz's, and rather nice sports cars. You should be thinking twice if you let your kid who JUST got a license drive such a powerful car. Kids are stupid (I know, I've been there and seen it) and well... I hope stuff like this doesn't happen again. Isn't that how the rates on the WRX shot sky high?

that sucks that people who want one and are willing to baby it cant get one but some jabroni who has rich parents can get what he wants and he could care less if he totals it or not...

NOVA = Northern Virginia.
I don't know who the kid is, he wasn't even in HS by the time I graduated so... but I heard from a couple friends who go to college around home.

WHY CANT PEOPLE DRIVE NORMALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just because you have a fast car doesnt mean you need to wrap it around a tree 3 days after you buy it. THis should send a message out to all parents........................................... .....CIVIC.

I thought whitman was the richest/ snobbiest school in the are (montgomery county, not fairfax).. oh well.. there go my insurance rates.. my company figured out that the evo is high performance, and already jacked my rates up 200 bucks every 6 months.
i bet the parents will simply buy him another expensive and fast car... i hope they didnt have gap insurance...
its nice when parents are rich, and can provide their kids nice things, and comfort, but for christ's sake teach them some responsability... I simply hope nobody got hurt, especially some innocent bystander/ driver.

not that bad until you realize that i didnt go anywhere, and it went up 2 days after it rolled off the truck.. its actually 40-something more a month so its a bit more than 200... i shudder to think how much more it will go up in the next year and half before i hit 25...

Hey guys I just read that post...how could somebody be so stupid ? I am 17 years old and I would give just about anything to have a car like the evo. It's just disguisting to me that somebody could have so little respect for what they've been given. I personally am going to pay for most of whatever I get (by my own choice...mainly just to spite the kids who actually get the $80,000 NSXs and the like from their parents) and I'd recommend to the parents of this kid that they make him do the same (although that will probably never happen).
