Growing Pains = Huge Changes!
Growing Pains = Huge Changes!
Hey everybody! Well we’ve been around for ten months now and what a crazy ten months it’s been. We just wanted to take some time and say thanks to everyone that has been by, visited and also let you know what’s happening in the upcoming months. As everyone knows there have been a lot of changes going on at Pro-Motion Tuning including the replacement of our lead sales representative and addition of a new highly qualified Technician. Some people like to refer to them as growing pains. The first year is always the hardest when you start a business, but with customers like yourself, it has been very enjoyable and pleasurable. Please take the time to read below to see how we are improving things to better serve you. We look forward to your feedback and also hope to see alot of you at our upcoming dyno day. (Date to be announced shortly)
Mike Paulk replaces Philip Davis as Sales Rep
As most of you know, we started the shop last October with Philip Davis as our Sales Rep. As of August 1, 2006, we have replaced Philip with Mike Paulk. Mike brings tons of experience with him and has been around the import industry since its early stages. Through the years, Mike has helped many people get started on their dream car. He’s also helped push those further along in their journey to the top. We are pleased to have him on our team, and we know that you will all be just as thrilled with his experience.
Mike has been in the Fredericksburg area since 1998. However, most people knew his 1997 chameleon colored civic better than they knew him. The car had a GSR supercharged, nitrous injected swap and over 20 natio0nal sponsors. Mike has since moved on to participate in such things as helping build the Clutchmasters All-Motor Record Breaker Honda Insight. He also worked for OG Racing—the leading importer in North America for Sparco. *
Though this sounds like good experience, Mike actually got his start in the automotive customization field at the age of 15 in southern Maryland. It all began by working at Ford Motor Company as a technician. It was here that Mike was introduced to his need for speed.
After a few years in the car industry, Mike did a brief excursion with the United States Navy. He saw over 20 countries and served 2 tours in the Persian Gulf. After the Navy, Mike met his ex-wife and moved to Fredericksburg where he found himself working for Rogers Screen Printing honing his creative skills. Missing the desire to be around cars everyday, he left Rogers to work for OG Racing. It was here that Mike learned all about the aspects of road racing. Since then, he has worked at Firestone as Manager of Vehicle Services where he assisted in the general maintenance of all types of vehicles. Mike brings a very unique and broad range of knowledge and experience to the team, and he looks forward to helping everyone in their search for making their car the best. We are proud that Mike sets a high professional standard for our team of technicians and customers. He approaches every vehicle that comes into our shop as the most important job of the day.
See ya soon,
James
