Questions about VA

Hey guys..
Don't know if this should be in off topic or what, but I will be moving to VA in Feb or Mar, around Langley AFB. Can anyone tell me what's a nice area around there to live..u know where my evo won't be violated? Also, how's the law down there in regards to mods, such as exhaust and all. Finally, is the VA insurance cheap? I have NY insurance..it way cheaper than NJ, but still pretty pricey. Any information you guys can provide would be appreciate it.

Foxhill area, Bethel area, or even around the Coliseum mall area are good. Buckroe, and Phoebus area are ***. Me and my fiancee pay $17Xish for my evo and her civic. The law isnt that bad, in vabeach they are a little more stricter then the other cities around here.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Jhero, definitely will check out. Last question guys, is it safe enough where a car alarm is not needed?

Depends on where in VA. It's basically the same as every other state. The more expensive the neighborhood, the more safe it is. If you go around the tysons area in nova, it's not even a rare occassion anymore to see ferraris, porsche, lambo's, etc etc. But at the same time, you are looking at around $500k for a house, where it may be around $100k in NY.

I can attest to this because I work for a mortgage company, and my territory is upstate NY haha.

I never take my car down towards that area, never. But im sure there are some nice areas. But I wouldnt exactly trust my car alone down there.

Id get one(well, I have one). Someone might try you here man. Anyway, I like the Newport News area(away from downtown, closer to ft eustis/langley afb). The law isnt too bad, if theyre bored they might follow you, but they usually wont mess with you. Dont worry about exhaust, just have a cat/HFC just in case.
