Detail Shops in Maryland (MD)

I want to get my car detailed professionally. To make a long story short, due to some events that occurred involving a 7 year old with a bottle of wax, my Evo IX is in some serious need of professional detailing attention. I was wondering if you guys know of a good place in Maryland (preferably Baltimore - Annapolis area) that you've dealt with before and can vouch for their work.

Any suggestions, reviews, prices highly appreciated.

Ideal Image on Bel Air Rd in Fullerton, Md. I figured if Ravens players trust their Ferraris, Lambos, and SL65 AMGs with these guys I figured my Evo is good enough to have them detail it. Those guys did a full detail and Tinted my windows on my Evo and I could not be happier with the results!

Nice! thanks for the info Santa. I'm assuming they did clay, polish, waxing .. turned your Evo into a yellowish mirror so to speak. I'm looking for a GG I can see my face in. And hopefully they'll be able to undo the waxed trim chaos my nephew caused. With the tint - I was planning on getting 30% tint anyway .. not dark I know but legal - along with the detail... how much do you think it would run me?

Yeah they clayed, polish, wax, interior, and tint. I got this done when they first opened up so the prices were a little cheaper then, But my car was a yellowish mirror for a while. I'm pretty sure they can take care of the mess on your trim pieces. And 35% is the limit in MD as far as tint goes... If you ask me 35% will waste your money you should go with 20%

Give them a call (410)-663-9274

A buddy of mine has a detail shop in Owings Mills right on Owings Mills Blvd. It's called 'Automotive Image' and his number is 410-526-2600. Ask for Steve and tell him Dan referred you and he'll give you a discount (maybe, or he could charge you more!! ). He does both the detail and the tint!!

The location of this one sounds nice. If I open the window on the top floor of my house, I could probably hit it with a rock ;-p. I might give him a call this weekend and see what he can do. I was thinking about doing it my self. Cause the more and more I think about it, the more i realize I have yet to break my record of not letting anyone else touch my car. I'm paranoid But thanks for the info. If he beats the price quotes I got so far, it will be a serious consideration.

Thanks guys for all the info... yet another glaring reason why I love being a part of this forum.

Called Steve at Automotive Image and got my car penciled in for a full detail and 20% tinting for this Thursday. I'm looking forward to it and I will be posting before and after pictures for you guys ;-) I figure if we get something like this going on, it will be easier to see shop work quality. I'll try to get photos at the same angle - or as close to it as possible - and post the before and after together by Friday.

Just dropped my car off at Automotive Image. Going to be picking it up tomorrow after work. I'm picking it up with my Panasonic Digitial Camcorder/camera in hand ;-p I'll have before/after photos up by the end of the day. It's pretty obvious from the wax havoc going on - that it isn't meant to be the easiest job going in; so I can't wait to see what it looks like when that garage door rises.

Talking The goods

Ok everyone... first off... it's about 1am, I'm going to wake up for work at 5:30, work a full day, truck it to OC, red eye from there back here and 2 hours later.. leave for Jersey. With that being said, I'm tired as hell so I'm not going to have ALL the pics up untill later this weekend, but here is just a taste of the Ninjitsu Steve whiped out for my car.

Old Pics
Door mess... Did I offroad in my sleep?

Here you can see where my loving nephew got wax in the door trim

Roof scratch....

For the next two... I'm COMPLETELY speachless. Honestly people... unsupervised 8 year old plus wax = BAD!

ENTER PROFESSIONAL INTERVENTION

At this point.. it's mostly gone. Sorry about image quality, it's the camera I can afford

I don't even want to tell you how horrid this looked before Steve got a hold of it. It was bad... VERY BAD! but not anymore :-)

Last one for now... Whole car with new tint!

Steve and I also took pics with his camera - quite a bit better than mine. When he sends them to me, I'll add more photos up.

Big shout out to Steve and Automotive Image for pretty much restoring my car. I'm ever so greatful, and so is my car
