Bel Air weekely meet thread
sorry guys didnt make it out,was on my way to the meet and 2 miles down road i stop at stop light and let clutch out to take off and car starts sputtering and has no power
babyed it home and checked ic pipes and seem ok,fpr vac hose on and bov vac line on,mbc vac lines on also. pulled plugs out n they look ok,except they smell like gas and a little wet from fuel ahh. any ideas what to look at next???

The car is a MAF, so that has a pretty big role in it. Check connection there, and see if there is a way to test the MAF(Fairly new to evos, dont know if there is a specific way to do it). Next id check your neg battery terminal, clean it, and reconnect it. As well as positive. Check your ground straps(Me and grounds get along well, just ask the local evo guys lol) Run a new ground strap from the battery to earth(The chassis). See if any of that fixes it. Sucks you didnt make it, we had 7 cars tonight..

LOL. It could easily be a grounding issue. The whole reason i had my problem was my grounds were bad, and my ECU had no ground, so it was not turning on. Could happen on any car. Grounds can make a WHOLE bunch of problems that are VERY weird. But yea, what kennis said is a valid idea.
thanx guys for all the input and hopefuly tomm when i do boost leak test i find something or car is gone lol jk. i was pissed yest cuz wanted to meet up and get out with car scince i have only driven it once scince cbrd did all the new work. i keep ya posted
dude your new ish is a real turd. im pretty mad at ya for getting rid of the shinny turd. at least should hae gotten a diff color. oh well. at least put the hater sticker back on..
I think he should of kept his Evo. There was nothing wrong with it besides the clutch. I say we go and test drive the Evo and blow it up. There is no meth in the tanks and he said they didn't understand how to fill it up. It's a ticking time bomb lol.
