Regardless of what was posted by anybody on that forum, in person, whatever.
I also appreciate the comment above more now then ever...but I still and have never understood what Aarons problem is with us. If what Greg posted above is not the case then why not reach out and try to fix the problem? I have tried contacting him numerous times. NOT RECENTLY, but over a year ago. We have never asked ANYONE to cause any trouble by posting ANYTHING. What we have said on many occasions is this: No matter if you are happy or unhappy with your experience with us, just let us or the community know how you like the service provided to you. Very simple. NO ONE can get better or grow in a positive direction without constructive positive or negative feedback. That is all we have ever asked.
You know some of the people that come here. They are very open and would not think twice to expose anything. We have done our best to serve everyone here in the midatlantic region. The volume of car that come thru here support that thoery.
When we have open house events like we will be in March EVERYONE is invited.
Have we ever said to anyone, your from xxxxx and your not allowed here? Like "some" others have dome to our customers.
I know it sound silly, but (imagine a customer point of view) when you closed the shutters on things, people are still going to be curious. They are going to want to know what really goes on back there that is so bad. So bad that in fact they have to censor their name..... I'm going to found out....

For guys like you and me, who are just members of DCEvoclub, let's just keep posting, and concentrate on making fast Evos. I'll leave the business aspect of it to the forum/shop owners.
Maybe since DTM has had a shift in ownership, Aaron would be willing to give them another trial run as a sponsor/vendor? If things have cooled down as much as they have, I think the off the wall posting that resulted in problems before should be minimal, if not non-existant.

I hate feeling like leaving DCEvoClub, since I've been there for years and it's by far my most active forum.

If I can make X amount of dollars spending my time doing something else, I had better make it doing that. If he is not personally spending his time with upkeep and management, then he would probably be paying somebody. After everything is said and done, it is very possible he does not profit by doing this with his time. Just a different viewpoint I thought I would share.

It is also important to mention that while you viewpoint and frustration may be warranted, there are two sides to every story. So lets keep that in mind and keep this topic civil. If anyone gets out of line, this will be your only warning not to.
Charles, I agree with you 100%. I know that the kind of traffic this site generates requires a much more robust hosting solution that is far more expensive than the simple hosting solutions I require. Heck, EVOM's stats are as follows: Threads: 317,305, Posts: 5,236,055, Members: 78,730. My site and dcevoclub combined would probably take over 10 years to do the amount of traffic that EVOM does in just a month.

My point is that dcevoclub doesn't require the level of service from their host that your site or even my own little site does. The fact that I was able to prove that in reality dcevoclub is hosted on Aaron's business server goes to show that the expenses he is talking about for running dcevoclub are not in fact correct as most likely, the majority of the hosting expense is for his business. Lumping it in all together to make it look as if his expenses exceed his revenue is wrong.

Thank you for not locking or deleting this thread and I'll do my best to keep it civil on my part. All I really wanted to do was to get what I feel is a more realistic synopsis out there rather than what I feel is a skewed disclosure.

Re: dcevoclub
As some us know how much dcevoclub moderators hate the word dtm, that one time a member posted his experience with dtm ended up deleting so much letters to the point you can't understand thread content.

I Believe that I can post my experience to whichever company, whether its -/+ experience and not
be condemn by this people just bec. dtm is not sponsor to the club.

there was year when dcevoclub asked for financial support and I gladly sent them whatever I can at that time now , I just hope allegation is wrong.

penultimately, I am not sponsor of any local company/tuner (except my wife) but I can assure you, nick did a good job tuning my car and it serve my goals. and to those haters, I did not get paid to post this.
lastly, to dtm/supporters do not ask me where my car at and if im happy with the shop.

The fact that another member on DCEvoClub had to come out and literally throw money in my face and act like he's better than me only put more fuel on the fire. I am very active in DCEvoClub, I've helped members with installs for free, given advice when I can, tried to provide at least meager entertainment at times, and represent the community by sporting the stickers and talking to people when they ask. The guy who insulted me moved out here from 3,000 miles away and hasn't owned an evo since he moved out here.

James, you know by now to take most things with a grain of salt on DCEvoClub. I stay active on the forum due to members like you, Seyla, DJ and any other local guy I have had dealings with that weren't a douchebag. I don't get involved of any of the "politics" on the site. I am there as a local member helping others, and getting help from others.

+1. Sometimes you just have to step back and realize that it's just a forum and not reality. Reality is wrenching on your car, hanging out with friends (in person), putting on your helmet, and driving the wheels off your car.

I like how you did that! All you needed to add was "read my lips".

OP...we need a more PC title for this thread. Those are pretty harsh accusations and we need something a bit more tame so that it wont have to be removed. I changed it for now, let me know if you have somoething else in mind

I really liked my title but I can see how it can be inflammatory. Charles, could I at least leave my original title at the top of my first post as the intro as I really do feel that it sums up the situation quite well?

BTW, I have now been at least IP banned on dcevoclub just as I stated I would most likely be. I wonder why? heh

Sorry, but that title was quite offensive. Can't leave any part of it.

As I mentioend before, I am sure there is a different side to the story, and while to management of dcevoclub may not want to publicly respond, they are welcome to do so as it is only fair to have both sides. I will say that I know this to be a more complicated situation than might appear from this thread although it is not my place to get into details, but rather just make sure this remains civil and within our rules.

I agree that the situation between DTM and dcevoclub is definitely more complicated than what was discussed but I highly doubt that the financial information I went over is very far from bullseye. Not many sites require the CPU cycles that this one does in order to handle all the web traffic and DB access. Hell, this site probably even needs load balancing to keep up.

Oh well, at least you let me call him a liar in the thread and didn't censor that. Freedom of speech FTW!

Again, thanks for your understanding in allowing my rant to continue.
