that was a random post...

Do you have a boost gauge?

If that ever happens again... drive slow like from 1st to 5th and don't boost.

yea they are some kool guys and thanks on the tip on the not going into boost. i did do that but i was still 2 hours away and didnt want to risk it. i could have been driving easily forgot and boom!!!! i was being cautious,

all the negative posts im not even listening cause if u guys were in that situation i hope u might have done that same if u dont want to waste 4 or 5 grand on a new motor. id rather spend that money on better things than another motor by taking cautious steps. i know i could have made it home, but i didnt want to take any chances.

Did you spend a lot of money at AMS? They could be looking at you as someone who is not afraid to dump a lot of money into your car. Of course they will do it for you. Any other tuner would have shown you how to adjust the damn thing yourself over the phone. Kudos to AMS though, good thing they are looking out for their customers.

thats the moral of the story, i spent money there, i didnt want to risk damaging my motor and somthing that simple, they came to help. that there makes me want to come and spend more. lets see any other shops do that knowing u the buyer came 3 1/2 hours away to see them.
People have came from 6+ hours away to DTM. Came from Ohio, which is by Buschur. so that should mean something

Edit: do you have a boost gauge on the car? A boost controller is really easy to set your self.

I should probably stay out of this thread because of who I'm associated with... but I'm not bashing anyone so...

A long long long long long and did I mention long time ago I really didn't know anything about cars. Still... a MBC? You twist it right or left. Boost goes up or down. If you know how to wield a screwdriver, you should be a ok adjusting a manual boost controller. Just watch your boost gauge in higher gears so you will actually know what you are peaking at.

Got a problem w/ the MBC? Back it all the way out. You'll be at stock boost levels and problem solved. Your tuner should then be able to tell you how many turns up to get close to your desired boost level and you should be able to fine tune it from there. You do have a boost gauge don't you?

As an FYI, normally, you don't want to screw around with your boost controller once you've been tuned. Let the boost controller stay where you were tuned at. If you want more power you better learn more than what you know because not knowing how to adjust a mbc means you really don't know much. No offense intended, just a simple factual FYI.

Well I'm assuming this happend sometime around the evening correct? When Atlantic Motorsports closed. Cory lives in VA anyways and since this happend in VA, I dont think that customer service thing was a big deal. A little advice if you ever do any serious builds take your business elsewhere otherwise you will be down for at least a year.
