What's with all the sighting posts??

Why does everyone post every freaking Evo or STi or whatever they saw??? Are they that uncommon? It seems to me, even here in VA, that I see an STi or an Evo or something similarly cool every day. Next thing you'll see something like "Spotted a brown Buick on the freeway" or "Volkswagen with hot chick driving spotted". Come on, folks. STOP THE MADNESS!!! When people spot something that IS rare (i.e. Skyline, Enzo, etc.) on the road, that is worth mentioning. Please don't report every damn Evo you see. Thank you. Good night.

Ya I kinda agree. This is a Lancer/Evo forum, you all should be use to seeing this car. Haha. Unless you are mentioning it to see if the person is on the forums is ok I guess.

I guess to people who don't drive 300-400 miles each week seeing an Evo is a special treat. But just this weekend, I saw 2 Evo's and 2 Sti's......but that was over 700 miles of driving!

Haha I don't think it's so much "oooo I see an Evo!" but more like, "are you here and who are you on the forums??"

It's cool to know that you drove by someone who you talk to on the forums every now and then.

GUYS!!!!!!!!!!! Guess what I seen this....this....this..... O it's just an '86 Chevette. Thought it was something it had neons under it, APC stickers, windshield washer pisser lights, a Aluminum wing on the roof, painted Home-made euro tails, and big coffee can. LOL.
I have to agree with most of the others on here about the sighting posts they are getting pretty lame, but like they said unless it's someone on here that your tryin to get ahold of. I live up here in Ohio close to Cedar Point. I see Evo's and STI's on a regular basis. I think they are both great cars but nothing to keep posting what you all have seen. Not bein rude just giving my $.02. Later guys

I'm guilty of posting these sighting threads but honestly there are a few reasons I post them. While some of you see them frequently I have seen a total of 5 Evo's on the road in about 5 months of having mine. I do become a little curious about who it is that I might have seen. Sometimes it is nice to place a name with a face. So basically I don't do it to annoy anybody. So if I'm annoying you with them then I apologize. But I'm probably not going to stop until I see other Evos more frequently...so have a few of these... ....and don't worry about these posts. It will probably die down when more hit the road.

Go to Dulles Town Center at the Nokes exit on Friday night and you will see a lot of them. Most of us show up there for a little get together. Come on out and then you won't need to post all the time...

What time on Friday night?

Speaking of which, caught sight of a Yellow Evo (first one!) going 28N. Anyone here?

I usually get there around 7-ish - if you wait too long, it gets packed with domestic garbage...
