Wow. I'm still recovering from Saturday (and the few days leading up to it...).
Saturday couldn't have been any better. The people, the cars, and the weather all added up to the best CBRD event to date. We can't thank each and every one of you who made the trip out to visit our facility. You are the reason we work hard to push ourselves to constantly improve. We will continue to improve so that you will always have a great experience with CBRD.
It wasn't quite as cool out as it was last fall, and I'm sure had an impact on everyone's numbers, but we still saw some serious power again this time around. 14 competitors strapped their cars to our Mustang Dyno for a chance for some nice prizes and of course some bragging rights! Here are the results:
Stock appearing turbo:
Bwesley82 - 382whp/338wtq - 720.0
kreionic - 441whp/352.7 - 794.3 *class winner*
Patrick M. (Evo X) - 264.9whp/294.8wtq - 559.7
Lee C. - 244.0whp/238.2wtq - 482.2
Petey Turbo - 378whp/367.3wtq - 745.3
blackdemon - 348.0whp/316.7wtq - 664.7
chrisevo8 - 330.8whp/303.3wtq - 634.1
Steve C. - 249.5whp/241.7 wtq - 491.2
Wicked Evo 9 - 302.6whp/303.0wtq - 605.6
Non-Stock appearing turbo
evoxsi - 446.3whp/390.5wtq - 836.8
whitey4d - 473.4whp/379.9 - 853.3
Perry - 461.1whp/414.3wtq - 875.4 *class winner*
damstr - 440.9whp/369.7wtq - 810.6
Goldfinger978 - 381.7whp/331.1wtq. - 712.8
kreionic took home the stock appearing turbo honors yet again, while the newcomer Perry B. won the non-stock appearing class. His 2.3liter, 35R car made great power and torque to win the class.
We then did a few exhibition runs with our own GT-R since everyone was curious to see what kind of power it made (and also to hear the new CBRD test pipes!). It didn't dissapoint with a 446whp and 442wtq. Not too shabby considering it was barely over 11 pounds of boost!
Then we let Brent from JM Fabrications lay down some SERIOUS power with his gorgeous self-built 1-Gen Talon! This monster put down 725.1whp and 527.2 wtq!!!!! It was absolutely rediculous! Needless to say, he now has the horsepower record here! Congratulations to him for that amazing amount of power.
A special thank you to AMSOil and Binary for providing the fantastic gifts for our competition! We also wanted to thank Mike from Blouch Turbo, Brent from JM Fabrications, and our friends Will, Charlie, and Joe for helping us during the day. Also, a HUGE thank you to Jalal for taking all of the great pictures!
We look forward to having you ALL back later in the year for the fall dyno day! Also, don't forget to make it out to Beaver Springs for the Blouch Turbo/CBRD Sport Compact Shootout on May 30th!
