hey guys, how is everyone doing? i currently live in philly and try to attend meets semi regularly (not nearly as much as i want) around there. there is a good group of guys around to philly area, and was wondering what the scene was like down in wilmington DE? i have never thought of wilmington as a hot spot for evos but i have been driving through there recently and have seen a bunch of nice bikes and some nice imports.

the reason i ask is because I currently have an internship for the next 10 weeks at AstraZeneca Pharma. Although I wont be driving down there everyday in my evo (have a shuttle service) i will have her down there quite often, especially on fridays. wanted to see who was around that area so maybe i could meet some more evo guys while i am down there. figure i will be spending more time in DE the next couple of months than philly so wanted to see what the deal was.

i live and work in wilmington de, drive a apex silver evo 9 daily. dont see to many other evos around and was thinking the same thing you where. i usually drive to philly for meets.

every wed at 900 there is a tri state tuners meet at the super g on 202 across from the old circuit city though. im usually the only evo that shows, but there is usually a good turn out 20-30 cars. send me a pm if you can make it down ill try and meet up with you if im not working.

^^ im about 15min from newark i usually hangout up there alot and im the only evo ever around up there. Ive heard about the 202 meet. my buddy goes up there and alot of LS guys go up there to ive heard.

 

there is usually a bunch of sti up there to, last week there was a couple of srt 4 as well but i was the only evo. there is another guy that used to have an evo, got tired of blowing it up, but just sold it for a zo6 vette.

 

Yeap your speaking of joel thats my boy. The red 01 with powder coated black wheels cammed up. I know all about that car it was dirty for a while till it blew up but i think some of it was the tuner just my 02 i dont know who tuned it but it was just weird it blew that many times.

 

haha glad to hear theres some more evo guys around there. not sure if i would be able to hang around till the meet at 202 since i get off a 5 but hey maybe ill just go to the gym and chill until then. would def like to meet some more evo guys. im sick of hanging out with subie dudes. how often are any of you guys around there?

i work m-f 8 to 5. i dont drive the evo everyday but if any of you wana meet up as long as i no the day before i can bring her down. that vette sounds sick. ive seen a ton of trans am and mustangs around there but not many imports.

What department you interning with?

 

Every1 meets in newark friday sat and sunday nights. if its nice ill be there well not this weekend ill be in ocean city. But i think they just meet up on 202 on sundays. I heard there were alot of races up there sunday.

 

i could def make the trip down for a weekend meet and will def try to hang around on wed for the meet. any of you guys planning on going this week any of the days? im interning with the compliance and ethics department right now. i have a bunch of sales/marketing experience but this is something completely new. not sure how/why i got picked for that one, but hey its a great company as you know and a good learning experience.

not to mention the facilities are all top notch! how far is the plant in newark from the one in wilmington? what department do you work in and how long you been there for? i am only a intern for now but i would/could def see myself there upon completion.

races up at 202? im always up for races but kinda got outta that ricer "lets race at every red light" thing and now i try to keep it to the track. any of you guys autoX down that way? if anyone is around tomorrow or the next day i will drive my car down otherwise might take a family members.

i saw that red vette at a stop light tonight but he turned right instead of waiting for me to come to the light, i was only like 2 seconds behind him i thought for sure he was going to go straight. oh well maybe another time he knows what my evo is capable of and has seen and heard it in person.

he went threw multiple turbos and different set ups before he got rid of it. i saw him down at cecil before running 10's. i dont know who tuned it but it might have been his down fall.

I'm not from Wilmington, but have been down here the last few weeks for work. Haven't seen any Evos, or reputable cars for that matter.

 

I dont believe he ever broke 10's he was close i think his best was like 11.0 11.2 dont think he ever dipped into the 10's but i think he had the same turbo on the 35r just kept blowin his motor. actually all it did was keep breakin rods. he put rod bolts in and it was fine from there.

 

Go down OC bro...everyone's goin to meet down there....i've been down here for almost a week and just seen a couple and me riding up & down coastal hwy, steady drinking and playin pong lol

 

i guess everyone embelishes their stories a little bit, he had a lot more to say then that when i talked to him last week. do you know if anyone is heading up to 202 tonight?
