I just got back from VIR!

well first off, talk about the best 4 hours i have had in a while!

i did the 4 hours of rally, they have a 4 stage course and it was great, they have 3 nissan sentras completely ripped apart, and they have 2 oz lancers w/ rollcages, sparco seats, engine was a lot diff too...i was up to 55 in 2nd gear....my digi camera is giving me a problem here but i will post some pics as soon as i figure it out . it took me about an 1 1/2 to get there from raleigh.

it was great because it had rained the day before so lots of mud, almost hit a turkey, and did a 180 on a 90 degree turn...the co-driver wasn't too happy about that. the only bad thing was that i had to drive the sentra, they are waiting til they fall apart before they bring out the lancers

on their regular track i saw vipers, corvettes, porches...and believe it or not...a civic hatchback tugging along....

but if you get the chance go! its really worth it! the rally experiance it badass!

www.virclub.com look under the euro rally....

Good to hear you had fun! I read about it in one of the magazines and was planning on doing it at some point in the near future. Is it still $800 for a day? How many people did you have in a class? Who was your instructor?

If this was $200 I'd have to do it, but damn this thing is expensive!

no group...

i work as a travel agent and i won the certificate at work! it was worth like $680...i was the only one at the rally section, and my instructor was the british guy , i forgot his name...but he knew what the hell he was doing, i thought i was doing really good and then i do the ride along and he just tears that course up flying around everything

yeah its expensive as hell but worth it, i know since i am an agent if we come together to do this i can book us 10-20 people at a lower rate if anyone is interested

I belive the guy's name is Ivor Wigham, a former British Rally driver (mid 80s)
